Hoover Dam

A Wonder of Science

The Hoover Dam is of the most famous structures built to serve the purpose and has also been featured in Hollywood movies. Erected over Lake Mead the water is the beautiful turquoise blue with clean edges appearing emerald green. The dam connects the states of Nevada and Arizona.

This wonder of science is 726.4 ft high. Above the hoover dam is the bridge at the height of 890 ft called the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge is an arch bridge in the United States that spans the Colorado River between the states of Arizona and Nevada and is the world’s highest concrete arch bridge that one has to cross when travelling from Vegas into the Grand Canyon.

The bridge is motorable and of course has concreate railing to block the sideways vision which can be quite a distraction and can be a very scary view for someone like me.
