Aspen to Denver

Last day of Trip

Next day Alice woke up with a heavy heart to leave the dreamland, nevertheless dressed up early as we had to leave at dawn to catch the sunrise at the Independence Pass and spent time at Twin Lake.

I grabbed breakfast for us from again a one of those famous places called the Louis Swiss Bakery for big mugs of coffee blueberries and cherry pastries and chocolate scones. We sipped on our coffees are drove to chase the sun and we made it just in time. There were two three more people with similar intentions and us, as the sun shone on my face, I felt beautiful and everything around me felt even more beautiful. It was cold and the rays of sun brought the much-needed warmth. We captured the moments in our eyes and in our cameras. We spent time clicking the surroundings and ourselves in it and spent good one hour at the top.

We made the most of it and drove to the last stop of the vacation, the twin lakes. The water didn’t appear as blue in the morning as the other day it was in the afternoon. It rather appeared clean and clear, because the sun wasn’t that strong, early in the morning.

We took some great photos there and decided to have our breakfast by the lakeside. It was a right decision to do so, I had the best view from my breakfast table and I loved every gobble. It was just us,  the campers were gone as the long weekend was already over, we too wound up and had to leave with a promise to come again.

Aspen – you beauty, I have left a part of my heart and soul with you so that I come to you again and again. I pledge my eternal to you.
